The Kooks is the title given to the elite and wealthy members of the island. They mainly reside in Figure Eight or the north side of the OBX. Typically, they have elitist or superior attitudes and are discriminatory towards the less well-off members of society, namely The Pogues. "Kook" is a generalized term for people from the Northside. They don't share the same close sense of family, unity, or friendship that The Pogues have.
History[]
The teenage Kooks are all in someway troubled, undoubtedly from the pressure that their parents have placed on them to be perfect or well-behaved. They will do anything to protect their "honor" even when the wrongs against them were mere retaliation for an issue they started. The group often throws lavish parties at one of their homes and partake in drugs such as cocaine. Despite their elitist attitude, they usually have each other's backs and do most activities as a group. The younger generation of Kooks has bad blood with The Pogues, which most likely started due to the class separation and nothing more.
The older generation of Kooks mainly mind their own business and they don't generally actively pursue the lower class. They don't attack them, but they also don't help the lower class. Most have worked hard for their wealth and enjoy keeping it to themselves and sticking with the other Kooks.
